Hello, and welcome to CrossStitchNerd! I’m excited to share my passion for counted cross stitch patterns with you. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the incredible team at “The Free Web Site Guys” through BlueHost for helping me bring this dream to life.

Let me take you back to the moment that sparked this journey. It all began one fateful night when I had a vivid dream featuring none other than John Lennon himself. In this dream, he urged me to create a portrait of him through my cross-stitching. Who was I to turn down the ultimate dreamer? Inspired and filled with creative energy, I jumped out of bed, eager to find the perfect picture to use as my reference.

Fast forward three months, and after countless hours of stitching, I completed my tribute to the legendary songwriter. It was truly a labor of love, igniting a fire within me to share my passion with the world.

While I initially envisioned naming my business “BitchenStitchens,” a fun nod to my love for cross stitch, I realized I needed to pivot as social media platforms adopted stricter community standards. Thus, I rebranded to the more approachable CrossStitchNerd, while still keeping my beloved logo inspired by my portrait of John Lennon.

At CrossStitchNerd, you’ll discover a variety of original counted cross stitch patterns, each crafted with love and meticulous attention to detail. My mission is to inspire fellow stitchers and provide them with unique designs that spark joy and creativity. Whether you’re a seasoned stitcher or just starting out, I hope you find something that resonates with you.

Although this is my first website, I’ve been selling on Etsy since June 2009. Initially, I focused on finished cross stitch tapestries, along with a variety of stitched greeting cards and bookmarks. It wasn’t until later, after creating my Lennon and Morrison portraits, that I decided to share some of my original patterns. However, I’ve chosen to keep those two designs exclusive, ensuring that the finished tapestries remain one of a kind.

Thank you for joining me on this exciting journey. I look forward to sharing more stories, tips, and patterns with you in the future. Stay tuned for updates, and let’s stitch our way to creativity together!

Happy stitching,

Linda Adams
